Private sessions + Zoom
Online hypnotherapy sessions take place privately over Zoom, without adding travel to your day. Your appointment takes place in a setting you choose, with time afterward to settle before returning to other commitments.
In these private sessions, also called virtual hypnotherapy, we meet one-to-one over Zoom. I ask about what you have come to work on and guide the session in response to what you describe and notice.
You remain part of the conversation throughout. Ask a question, let me know when something does not fit, or request a pause. I can see and hear you as we work.
Research on video-delivered hypnotherapy. This study looked specifically at video-delivered, gut-focused hypnotherapy for IBS. It does not establish equivalent outcomes across all the concerns addressed in this practice.
A stable internet connection and a private room allow you to attend from your chosen location. You are welcome to inquire from another state or country; include your location and time zone so we can confirm availability before scheduling.
You can remain in your chosen setting afterward, with time to settle before moving on to your next commitment.
Install and open Zoom before the appointment. Test your camera, microphone, and earphones so we can see and hear each other clearly. Charge your device and wireless earphones, keep the power cable nearby, and have your meeting link accessible.
Choose a place where video calls remain stable. If your usual connection is unreliable, make other arrangements ahead of time.
Choose a private room where you can speak without being overheard. Sit comfortably with support and position your device securely so the camera can see you, without needing to hold it throughout the session.
Turn off notifications and arrange for others not to interrupt. Leave the full appointment free of other tasks. Do not attend while driving.
Consider what can be heard outside the room, not only whether the door is closed. Headphones keep the audio from your device to yourself; your own voice still needs privacy.
If you cannot arrange uninterrupted space where you are staying, raise that before booking so we can discuss the setting.
After your session, you receive a written summary of what we covered.
The summary gives you a record of important observations and changes to return to as you follow your progress.
Bring what you would like to address, along with any questions about working together online. In the consultation, we discuss whether this approach fits your situation and what you need to know before beginning.
If you are considering online work for anxiety or persistent stress, you can read about hypnotherapy for anxiety or hypnotherapy for stress before we discuss whether this approach fits.
