Ways to Work
Assessment-Based Hypnotherapy · New York
That happens through consultation — once the pattern, scope, and level of work are clear.
The depth of work reflects what you want to change, how long it has been operating, how much of your life it touches, and how consistently it repeats.
Three steps before work begins.
Step 01
Request
You submit a consultation request. The information you provide forms the basis for the initial review before a time is scheduled.
Step 02
Consultation
A structured conversation where your situation is examined, the pattern and level of work are identified, and the appropriate container is determined. You leave knowing what is producing it, which container applies, and what the engagement looks like. Nothing else is required at that stage.
Step 03
Assessment Session
A structured 60–90 minute diagnostic session. The pattern is mapped in full — how it developed, what conditions sustain it, how far back it runs, and what level of work it requires. This session precedes all engagement regardless of which container is assigned. It is the foundation everything that follows is built on.
Each container has a defined structure. The same three-week opening applies to all hypnotherapy work in New York. What differs is the scope, the session count, and the duration.
Container 01
This container is assigned when your presenting issue is specific, contained, and limited in scope. The pattern operates within a defined context and has not spread across multiple areas of your life.
The work focuses on the specific pattern maintaining the issue. The entry phase itself constitutes the full container.
Container Structure
1 assessment session (60–90 min)
2 hypnotherapy sessions
Duration: 3 weeks
Opening Cadence
Week 1: assessment. Week 2: first hypnotherapy session. Week 3: second hypnotherapy session.
Close
Reassessment at week three determines whether your work is complete or whether deeper work is now indicated.
The pattern stops executing in the situation where it used to occur.
Container 02
Assigned when patterns repeat across situations in your life — not confined to a single context. The same reaction appears across different areas, not just one.
Hypnotherapy sessions continue weekly through the entry and deep pattern phase. Integration sessions support the new internal organization as it moves into your daily life.
Container Structure
1 assessment session (60–90 min)
6 hypnotherapy sessions
4 integration sessions
Duration: 2.5–4 months
Opening Cadence
Week 1: assessment. Week 2: first hypnotherapy session. Week 3: second hypnotherapy session. After the entry phase, sessions may move to a biweekly rhythm with integration sessions in between, depending on the pace of the work.
Close
Reassessment determines whether your work is complete, whether deeper work is now indicated, or whether you are ready to integrate independently.
The same reaction no longer spreads across different areas of life.
Container 03
Used when the pattern is embedded in your relationships — the same position, the same dynamic, across different people. You lose voice, position, or stability inside relationships regardless of who the other person is.
The duration range reflects the pace of relational change, which depends on how you integrate new ways of responding into existing relationships.
Container Structure
1 assessment session (60–90 min)
10 hypnotherapy sessions
6 integration sessions
Duration: 4–8 months
Opening Cadence
Week 1: assessment. Week 2: first hypnotherapy session. Week 3: second hypnotherapy session. As the work progresses, sessions may spread to longer intervals — the spacing is always personal, determined by how the changes are integrating in your life.
Close
Reassessment determines whether your work is complete, whether deeper work is now indicated, or whether you are ready to integrate independently.
The same relational dynamic no longer activates the same position.
Container 04
For patterns that override your control before choice is available. The response executes automatically and continues despite clear consequences.
The duration range is wider because compulsive patterns require more processing time. The pace depends on how the changes stabilize in daily life.
Container Structure
1 assessment session (60–90 min)
15 hypnotherapy sessions
10 integration sessions
Duration: 6–12 months
Opening Cadence
Week 1: assessment. Week 2: first hypnotherapy session. Week 3: second hypnotherapy session. Sessions continue through the compulsive pattern phase.
Close

The override no longer initiates before choice is available.
This work is for high-functioning individuals with the stability to engage identity-level material directly. It is not appropriate during active crisis, with untreated severe psychiatric conditions, or without prior stabilization of active addiction. If you are uncertain whether this applies, the consultation will clarify that.
Wider reflects more structural involvement.
The pattern continues until the work reaches the level where it holds.
Consultation clarifies that.
